  Unwanted and Neglected Horse Rescue

  Riding lessons for children and young adults

Set among the pine trees on a horse farm in Valkaria, Florida, is a pasture where Debbie Phillips maintains a group of horses, currently numbering sixteen. They have been rescued from neglect or from owners that simply couldn't take care of them any more.

To support the feeding and care of these animals Debbie provides riding lessons for children and young adults, using some of the other property at the farm. Students get experience with grooming and tacking up a horse, and can ride in the fence-enclosed property safely under Debbie's supervision.

Lease a horse

Those wishing to support Debbie's efforts are encouraged to consider leasing one of her horses. Leasing entails helping to pay for a horses food and expenses. Leasers are encouraged to visit and care for their horse as much as possible. Leasers may either have exclusive riding of their horse or share their horse with other riders, depending on the terms of the lease. She will also consider off farm leases and fostering.
